Design Documents for Reference

This section provides the more detailed view of the design of a annotation service that would take the url of a record summary as its starting point and subject.

The first document offers an overview of the system including an overviewof the use cases generated by an analysis of the operations required to provide a basic functionality. The majority of the diagrams is made up of a series of user screens to provide an idea of the expected needs of annotators and moderators in the use of the system's simple functions. The second document offers a more detailed view of the system as portrayed in UML (Unique Modeling Language). The basis of this system of modelling is the Use Case which details the interactions between user (or Actor) and the system. Following a brief overview of the Use Cases the entire set of Use Cases is accompanied by the Robustness Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams mentioned in Approach to the Design.
